Amelia is originally from Apple Valley, MN and now lives full time in Duluth for college, with plans to stay in Duluth post grad. Amelia is studying elementary education and special education at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Amelia started her studio dance journey at the age of 2, training at Fusion Dance and Spotlight Dance Productions through to her senior year of high school. In high school, Amelia was also a 4 year member of the Eastview Lightning Dance Team, where she won multiple conference, section, and state championships. The Eastview dance program taught Amelia what being a great teacher and coach entails and reignited Amelia’s love for dance!
Since graduating high school in 2020, Amelia began her teaching career and has been with Madill Performing Arts Center since 2023. Some of Amelia’s favorite parts of teaching is getting to work with kids of all ages, watching them grow and improve.
Amelia has trained in all styles of dance but her favorite styles to teach are jazz, lyrical, and contemporary! Amelia also loves to teach technique classes because she gets to find new ways to train and be inspired by other teachers.
In addition to Madill PAC, Amelia is a full time college student, the varsity assistant coach of Duluth Denfeld Dance Team, and works at St. Luke’s Hospital. Amelia also has a passion for photography and enjoys specifically, senior & dance photography.
