Emma is from right here in Duluth. She began her dance training at the age of 3 and began dancing competitively at age 6. She competed here at Madill Performing Arts Center, earning numerous placement and title awards throughout her dance career. 

Emma was also a varsity member of the Duluth Marshall Dance Team starting in 7th grade and continuing through high school. As a member of the high school dance team, she earned multiple section championships and had the opportunity to compete at the State competition every season of her dance team career. 

Throughout her dance career she has sought out additional training through Minnesota Ballet, Concept Pavielle, Personal Best Pilates, Banuet Training Method, Twin Ports Gymnastics, and attended Danceplex Pre Pro training virtually throughout Covid. She has also received training across the country from world renowned teachers and choreographers through opportunities with Dancerpalooza, 24Seven, Nuvo, Radix, Jump, Intrigue, and NYCDA receiving numerous scholarships and performing in pieces choreographed by Martha Nichols and Teddy Forance. 

Following her high school dance career, Emma attended the College of Saint Benedict and was a finalist at UDA nationals in both Pom and Jazz as a first year member of their dance team. Since then, she has transferred to the University of Minnesota Duluth and is a member of the UMD dance team and has had the honor of earning medals in both Pom and Jazz at UDA Nationals. 

As an instructor, Emma brings a commitment to technique and a dedication to sharing her love of dance with others. She has loved her time at Madill with her studio family and is excited to be part of training the next generation of Madill dancers.
